Year Two: Cotton
We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary yesterday, which is known traditionally as the "cotton year" to symbolize a couple's life being intertwined and woven together. Early on I wanted to get my husband a cotton bathrobe, something fancy but practical. I quickly scrapped that idea when I realized that he would never wear the thing, so I had to rethink a little bit. When thinking about these gifts I've realized I can think of the coolest gift in my mind, but if it's not practical or he would never use it, it's not a good idea. I went a little smaller scale and decided on hand towels, which we needed new ones anyways. I happened to get the one remaining "w" monogrammed towel in Kohl's, and then found some Irish hand towels on clearance (it was right after St. Patrick's Day) and one of them had a corgi on it, which I knew he would love.
